Important Instructions to the participants:

 

Selection list of students from schools for participation in the DST Sponsored INSPIRE Science Internship Camp to be held in SMVD University, Katra during July 22 - 26, 2015 can be downloaded here (Click Here).  

 

In addition to the above please note the following important points:

 

 

  1. Students have to arrive on our campus on 21.07.2015 [3.30 pm Sharp] evening for registration and briefing. Students who fail to report for briefing without any justified reason may not be allowed to participate in the Camp. Students shall then have to stay on our campus for the entire duration of the camp and they won’t be allowed to commute during the Camp as per DST guidelines as the camp is residential in nature.

 

  1. There is no registration fee for attending the camp.

 

  1. Boys and girls will be accommodated separately in Boy's and Girl's hostels respectively.

 

  1. Each student will be provided a suitable accommodation on sharing basis with complete set of bedding however students are advised to bring additional 2 bed-sheets along-with them.

 

  1. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, tea/snacks will be provided for the camp period free of cost.

 

  1. Staying on the SMVDU Campus for the accompanying parent/ guardian is not allowed. They may drop their wards on 21st July and pick them up on 26th July.However such request can be considered only incase of accompanying teachers.

 

  1. Transport arrangements may be made for the students belonging to District Jammu. All such students are required to report at Saraswati Dham, Rail Head Complex on 21.07.2015 at 2.00 pm sharp failing which they will have to make their own transport arrangements and will have to report by 3.30 pm sharp in SMVDU. Students (Jammu District only) who do not use our transport facility won’t be eligible to for TA reimbursement as we are providing the said facility free of cost. Reimbursement of TA shall be made in accordance with the Bus Fare Chart of J&K State Road Transport Corporation, Govt. of J&K.

 

  1. To avail our transport facility students have to put in a request for the same via email or Facebook at inspire.smvdu@gmail.com or phone 01991-285634 ext 2507/ 2525. Students of other districts who wish to avail this facility from Jammu to campus are also required to register for transport.

 

  1. All the students are required to carry 2 colored pp size photographs and their school ID card and one Lock-Key Set with them without fail. Entry shall be strictly on the basis of valid ID proof or identification by the accompanying teacher. Students coming without ID of school may be sent back.

 

  1. Please bring along your school identity card and two passport size photographs. Identity card is compulsory. Students are also required to bring a permission letter duly signed by the parents permitting the students to take part in the camp.

 

  1. Participation in the camp demands very high level of dignified conduct and discipline on the part of students. Students found violating any of these conditions shall be immediately sent back home.

 

  1. Students are required to note their registration ID and S.No. form the List of Students shot listed for the 8th DST Sponsored INSPIRE Science Internship Camp to be held from July 22- 26, 2015 which shall be available on our website http://inspire.smvdu.ac.in/. Students should quote these numbers while registering for the camp to avoid any hassle at the last moment.

 

  1. Please note that students who have passed 10th from JK BOSE should have a minimum percentage of 87.20% in 10th and incase the students have passed 10th from CBSE then they should have got a minimum CGPA-A1 (CGPA = 10) to be eligible to apply for the camp. Those who do not satisfy this criterion shall be sent back on day one. CBSE conversion formula as given above shall be used to convert grades into percentage marks.
  2. Errors and omissions in the list of shortlisted candidtaes if any are observed by any student/ parent/ gurdian/ teacher/ school or otherwise; the same may kindly be brought to our notice immediately [01991-285634 Ext 2507 or inspire.smvdu@gmail.com] so that corrective action can be taken at our end.
