It is our great pleasure to announce Department of Science & Technology (DST), GOI sponsored Innovation in Scientific Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE) Science Internship Camp to be held in Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, from April 19-23, 2010. INSPIRE is an innovative program of DST for attraction of talent to science. The basic objective of the INSPIRE camp is to communicate to the young attendees the excitement of creative pursuits of science and attract talent to the study of science at an early stage and build the required critical human resource pool for strengthening and expanding science and technology system in R&D base.
      Under the above scheme SMVDU is organizing its first INSPIRE science internship summer camp. This camp is meant for the top 1% performers in class 10th board examination, and who, are presently pursuing science in XI and XII standard. All the students will be hosted on our campus. They will be given exposure with invited Fellows of various science academies, awardees and scientists of national and international repute who will interact with the students through lectures and interactive sessions. This would be followed by personal interactions in an exclusive setup in this camp.

Selected candidates will be accommodated in the SMVDU Jammu campus during the camp. They will be eligible for TA (as permissible) free local hospitality.
