Important Instructions to the participants
Selection list (First)
of students from schools for
participation in the DST Summer Science Camp to be held in SMVD
University, Katra during July
22 - 26, 2013 with detailed
information can be downloaded (Click
Here) from
our site after 15th
July from our site. The last date for
receipt of application is till
20/07/2013.
In addition to the above please note the following important
points:
-
Students have to arrive on our campus on
21.07.2013 [3.30 pm
Sharp] evening for registration and briefing. Students who
fail to report for briefing shall not be allowed to
participate in the Camp. Students shall then stay on our
campus for the entire duration of the camp and they won’t be
allowed to shuttle during the Camp.

There is no registration fee for attending the camp.
-
Boys and girls will be accommodated separately in Boy's and
Girl's hostels respectively.
-
Each student will be provided a suitable accommodation with
complete set of bedding however students are advised to
bring two bed-sheets along-with them.
-
Breakfast, lunch, dinner, tea/snacks will be provided for
the camp period free of cost.
-
Staying on the SMVDU Campus for the accompanying teacher/
guardian is not allowed. They may drop their students/wards
on 21st July and pick them up on 36th
July. However in
exceptional cases such request can be considered only for
teachers.
-
Transport arrangements have been made for the students
belonging to District Jammu. All such students are required
to report at Saraswati Dham, Rail Head Complex on
21.07.2013
at 2.00 pm sharp failing which they will have to make their
own transport arrangements and will have to report by 3.30
pm sharp in SMVDU. Students (Jammu District only) who do not
use our transport facility won’t be eligible to for TA
reimbursement as we are providing the said facility free of
cost. Reimbursement of TA shall be made strictly as per the
Bus Fare Chart of J&K State Road Transport Corporation,
Govt. of J&K.

To avail our transport facility students have to put in a
request for the same via email or Facebook at
inspire.smvdu@gmail.com or phone 01991-285731. Students
of other districts who wish to avail this facility from
Jammu to campus are also required to register for transport.

All the students are required to carry 2 colored pp size
photographs and their school ID card with them
without fail and one lock key set. Entry shall be
strictly on the basis of this proof. Students coming
without ID of school shall be sent back. Students who
have not submitted their 10th class marksheet along with the
application form are required to bring an attested copy of
the marksheet of 10th class failing which they shall be sent
back and won’t be allowed to participate in the camp.

Please bring along your school identity card and two
passport size photographs. Identity card is compulsory.
Students are also required to bring a permission letter duly
signed by the parents permitting the students to take part
in the camp.

Participation in the camp demands very high level of
dignified conduct and discipline on the part of students.
Students found violating any of these conditions shall be
immediately sent back home.

Students are required to note their registration ID and S.No.
form the List of Students shot listed for the
6th DST
Sponsored INSPIRE Science Internship Camp to be held from
July 22-
26, 2013 which shall be available on our website www.smvdu.ac.in/inspire and http://smvdu.net.in. Students
should quote these numbers while registering for the camp to
avoid any hassle at the last moment.

Please note that students who have passed 10th from JK BOSE
should have a minimum percentage of
87.20% in 10th and
incase the students have passed 10th from CBSE then they
should have got a minimum CGPA-A1
(CGPA = 10) to be eligible to apply for the camp. Those who do
not satisfy this criterion shall be sent back on day one.
CBSE conversion formula as given above shall be used to
convert grades into percentage marks.
